In summer the common sandpiper can be found bobbing up and down along fast rivers and by lakes, lochs and reservoirs in the UK.

This delightful sandpiper has been skilfully hand-carved from Indonesian albizia, known locally as 'silk tree', and then hand-painted with fantastic colourful detail.
