Everyone knows the mallard – it’s the commonest and most widespread duck in the UK so you have a chance of seeing it just about anywhere where there is suitable wetland habitat, even in urban areas.

This marvellous mallard has been skilfully hand-carved from Indonesian albizia, known locally as 'silk tree', and then hand-painted with fantastic colourful detail.
